Verification & Eligibility
This page describes how the platform verifies participant eligibility and identity in connection with tournament participation and prize payouts.
Standard eligibility (Steam-based verification)
To participate in tournaments, the following conditions must be met through the linked Steam account. These checks are applied automatically when a Steam account is connected to a platform account — no manual action is required from the participant.
- Steam account age: at least 6 months from creation date.
- Dota 2 matches played: at least 500 recorded matches.
- Match history visibility: set to public, required for automated result verification.
Accounts that do not meet these thresholds will not be eligible to participate in tournaments until the conditions are satisfied. These requirements are in place to ensure a baseline level of account legitimacy and to support accurate result verification.
Prize verification (KYC)
For prize payouts of $50 USD or more, the platform requires identity verification before processing the payment. The following documents or confirmations may be requested:
- Government-issued photo identification.
- Confirmation of age (18 years or older, or the minimum legal age in the participant's jurisdiction, whichever is higher).
- Confirmation that the Steam account and payment account belong to the same individual.
The platform reserves the right to apply identity verification at lower thresholds where required by applicable law or by the policies of the relevant payment processor.
Prize payouts will not be processed until verification is completed. The platform may request additional documentation if initial verification is inconclusive.
Account limits
Each participant may register one platform account and link one Steam account. Each Steam account may be linked to only one platform account. This restriction is technically enforced at the point of Steam account linking.
Attempts to circumvent this restriction — including creating multiple accounts or transferring Steam account access to another person — may result in disqualification, prize forfeiture, and permanent account suspension.
Responsibility
Participants are responsible for ensuring that their participation is lawful in their jurisdiction. The platform does not verify compliance with local laws at the point of registration. By participating, you confirm that you are legally permitted to do so under the laws applicable to you.
